                    Contest Theme: Create Your Own SOUL Character                   

Alright guys this is the chance to familiarize ourselves with the universe of SOUL.
My main mission is to introduce my watchers and anybody interested, into the world of SOUL(The manga I'm currently working on). This is also a great opportunity to showcase some people's artwork and talent, this contest WON'T be limited to only artwork either. I want to find more inspiration for my manga, with this contest I can possibly incorporate ideas and even entire characters into the series. It also gives you guys a chance to get some nice prizes.

Human(can be any Ethnicity, and from any country... so please be diverse)

-Sinner(They're pretty much your definition of a demon but in human form)
-Zero Children(From Norse Mythology; Black Elves)
-Eques Trinity(Latin for "Trinity Knight")
-Spirit(Spirit guides to Shinigami)

Basic world Information
All across the world, many cultures, religions, and history itself have shaped our society into what it is now. Throughout our existence there has always been a slight interaction between the human world and the spirit world.

Our story is set in the futuristic city of Tokyo,Japan set around the year 2016 in a near future derived from the breakthrough of a new technology movement, while this world resembles our own. Hidden behind a wall, protecting it from the outside world plagued by destruction.
75 years prior to the main sorry line a global cataclysm known as "The Second Coming",  a mysterious spatial anomaly known as "Hell's Gate" appeared in the United States of America, then an inscrutable and abnormal territory code named, Hell's Frontier, appeared around the world, excluding certain locations such as parts of North America, Europe, South America, and most of Asia(Excluding everywhere in the south east, and part of Japan) , altering the sky and wreaking havoc on the landscape. The stars in the sky soon disappear. This event was then sugar-coated to the public, presumed to be caused by a meteor strike as officially reported, but  in reality resulted when the first "Angel" arrived on Earth, code named "The Antagonizer".

Following the disastrous Second Coming, a peace treaty among the last remaining nations, dubbed The Neo World treaty, reigned over the planet due the United States losing its dominant position as a superpower, followed by the most dangerous of nations North Korea, Iran, Russia, and China to name a few. The Neo Federation has ever been established by uniting the few areas of the world in order to maintain peace.  Beyond this blind peace treaty there's an everlasting war raging amongst heaven and the demons of hell in which the humans play no important role except to play the guinea pigs for the supernatural forces fighting.

-DO your research on the topic at hand. Familiarize yourself with the terminology, characters(the ones if released so far), abilities, weaponry, and locations. I'll try my best to provide as much visual and written reference work in order to help you guys succeed. If anything just ask me stuff about my story and I'll be glad to answer your questions.

-Please show the correct crediting. Must show me as the creator of the series. You will retain the rights to the artwork/written work.

-Please refrain from entering multiple entries

-In order to submit your entry, just simply upload your work onto Deviantart and note me about and I'll put it in the entries section of this journal.

-Please do whatever you'd like with your artwork of the character in portfolios, websites, and personal use however they'd like, but just know that you can't use it without crediting me with the series.

-ANY KIND OR ART STYLE IS ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!

-Yaoi and Yuri are accepted

-No bases

-Only Finished works no Wips

-Minimal sexual themes, if you want to have any heavy sexualization PLEASE mark it as "SEXUAL CONTENT"

Written trivia and ideas SOUL Terminology and Info¤ Sora is an "atheist" doesn't believe in a god; also a "skeptic" doesn't believe in spirits/ghosts. Lives in a world full of despair, won't waste time thinking in things that aren't "possible". Blind to what the world is actually facing, much like the humans are doing.
¤ Shinigami, God of death, are portrayed as guardians  who control the flow of souls between heaven and hell.  These beings serve to determine whether a soul is worthy enough to pass through the gates of heaven. Haven't been seen since the "First Coming" back around 427 B.C. They reemerge during the Second Coming,when The Antagonizer attempted to retake the King's throne. They serve under the military organization called SOUL and reside in Heaven.  Shinigami are usually identified by their star's Messier Catalogue Number, which is tattooed somewhere on their body.

Anatomy, color, values, and even design play a big part so pay attention to those aspects and try your best, this contest is for you guys, so its a learning experience.

Impact
The overall impact of the artwork, in terms of visual appeal and emotional attachment. The piece has to illustrate all of the qualities mentioned above and allow the viewer to mentally see the character. Pretty much WOW the judges with not only the visual appeal, or written appeal.
